History
The Heart of Texas
chapter of Delta Waterfowl was started in 2004
by a local duck hunter
named Wes Caldwell. He gathered up a few
of his
friends that shared his
desire to do something to help the future of waterfowl
hunting and we’ve been growing ever since.
We have had four successful banquets and raised money for research and
programs supported by Delta Waterfowl.
Something unique about
Delta Waterfowl is it’s support of it’s local chapters.
The Heritage Fund
allows each local chapter to keep up to 25% of it’s net funds
raised to be used for
local projects and events.

Possible future events:
Kids’ day (instruction
and entertainment in waterfowling)
Youth hunting trips
Wood duck box building and installation at local lakes
